To all of you who come to this happy place, welcome. Here you will discover enchanted lands of Fantasy and Adventure, Yesterday and Tomorrow. May Tokyo Disneyland be an eternal source of joy, laughter, inspiration, and imagination to the people of the world. And may this magical kingdom be an enduring symbol of the spirit of cooperation and friendship between the great nations of Japan and the United States of America.

There are 6 Disney amusement parks around the world. 2 in USA (Florida and Los Angeles), 2 in Tokyo (Disneyland and Disney Sea), 1 in France, and 1 in Hong Kong. And at the moment, 1 more is set to open in Shanghai.
I’ve been to the first 4 parks mentioned above before. And when I was younger, I wanted to visit all the Disneylands in the world. Then when I reached my 20s, I wanted to go back to Disney World with my future husband for my honeymoon. Why? Because I am spending my present with him, I am going to spend my future with him, so I wanted to go to Disneyland to relive my childhood (past) with him. Silly I know. Thankfully the boyfriend doesn’t actually think that’s a silly notion. *cue silly loved up grin forming on my face*
So why all this talk about Disneyland? Well because of the Daily Prompt Challenge: Enchantment.
Come on! When you see or hear the word magic, or enchantment, what else do you think of besides Disneyland, the Magic Kingdom?
Okay, okay, David Copperfield and Cirque du Soleil does come to mind as well but my first thought was Disneyland. So that’s why I went to search for this photograph!
Tokyo Disneyland was one of the highlights during my one month tour of Japan. Not because it’s Disneyland. But because of the company I had at Disneyland. When I was in USA, I went solo and visited Universal Studios by myself. It’s no fun at all!
I think the magic happens when you have good friends or your loved ones to enjoy the day at the park with you. I guess that is the true enchantment of parks like Disneyland. It is a place that allows both parent and child to connect on the same level. And friends are able to let loose of their adult roles and responsibilities to just enjoy a day of fun and adventure.
Of course the fun and joy might lessen if all you do that day is end up waiting for hours just to go on a ride. In fact, I recently went to Universal Studios Singapore and had loads of fun! Tell you more about it soon!
What do you think?
What is your take on the word ‘enchantment’? Or the idea of magic? Are you a fan of amusement parks? Which is your favourite amusement park and why? Which of the Disneylands have you been to or like the most?
